GMIC 2022 Competition Process

All Categories may include the classical performances and the rock & pop.

> All Bahrain-based participants must perform in Qualification Rounds and Grand Final in-person from Harmony Music Center.

> All overseas participants must perform LIVE through Zoom from the institutions where the music classes are taken or from their homes in both Qualification Rounds and Grand Final. Competition Authority is granted that all participants from the same country will be scheduled for the LIVE performance consecutive for their easier organization. Pre-recorded video performance should be submitted by all overseas contestants by deadline mentioned in GMIC2022 TIMELINE & FEES webpage.

> The participant can choose to perform on the Grand Final either the same piece that was performed in Qualification Round or another one. The contestants who chose to perform different piece for the Grand Final will not be awarded with the extra points, however, in case two performers gain the same score on the Final Round, the higher rank award will go for the performer, who presented the new material.

>The live accompaniment or a high-quality backing track can be used for the performers of Instrumental and Voice Categories. The backing track may be used for the performances of Beginner Level Piano Category; the duet with the teacher for this Category cannot be accepted.

>For each category the performance should be done by memory. If chosen repertoire falls outside the designed level, the organizers reserve the right to move contestant to the appropriate level.
